If you’ve ever dreamed of spending a night or two (or 7!) tucked under the stars, cosy’d away in a luxury shepherd hut or cabin, this is where your search begins. Each of the examples we have selected was lovingly built by us and now operated by our fabulous customers. From glorious glens, to highland bothies with hot tubs and woodland escapes to costal and country crofts, each bespoke hut has been designed to rest lightly on the land, blending and weaving into the quiet.
A cosy shepherd's hut on a working croft near Edinbane in Skye. Conveniently located for Portree, Dunvegan and Edinbane, with excellent access to destinations in the north and west of Skye. Suhail & Kristen run an eight-acre croft with dairy goats, ducks, a wee orchard, a vegetable garden and a small, newly planted woodland. Guests are welcome to explore the croft and the hosts are always happy to show folks around!

We have stayed in several shepherd huts’ and this was by far the best! Often these can feel cramped and lacking however this was so well designed and equipped, we did not feel cramped and nothing was missing. There was plenty of storage room for suitcases and also plenty of room in bathroom to put wash bags. The shower was lovely and the bed was so comfortable. There was a good little fan, quiet and effective. We were extremely impressed with the toaster oven, it has an air fryer setting and we cooked all sorts in there. Suhail & Kris were so lovely and nothing was a trouble, they responded within minutes and quickly resolved a couple of issues that were outside of their control. Highly recommend staying here!

We loved the hut. It was super cute and cosy. The kitchen was absolutely lovely and the equipment really nice and modern. It was a bit cold but the floor heating was rly nice and we got an additional blanket for the night. The location is absolutely lovely. Its super quiet and right in the nature and the goats are absolutely lovely. We even got to see the aurora at night. Its also super practical because its quite central in Skye and we could travel pretty quickly everywhere. Just 15 minutes by car to Portree. We loved it.

We loved our stay in our little cabin. It was compact but had everything we needed - a comfy bed, great bathroom and lovely kitchen area. It was warm and cozy and the perfect respite from the Skye rain! The perfect little base. The area is quieter than some of the more touristy parts of Skye, which was great. The goats and ducks around add to the peace! Delicious fresh duck eggs too. We would definitely stay again.

There is a before and after experience after staying in this Hut. We particularly booked it to see the farm life and were looking for a peaceful stay.
Suhail and his partner were AMAZING, we had a unique experience with one of the little lambs and they were super attentive to us.
The hut has everything you need to make your own food, from every single utensil on the book to enough space for storage.
There is definitely also privacy to the hut that gives you feel in the middle of nowhere, if you have a no cloudy day you might spot amazing stars.
This is a 10/10, totally worth it..
